| Mendell House: 1955 The clients for the Mendell House wanted their house to look like a village without right angles. In many cultures clustering and asymmetric growth resulting from the additions of rooms are archetypes of a house. Symbolic and functional references to older models can be reconstituted in new houses when these connect the user with meaning derived from cultural experience. |
